…Good Morning 666…

This is a first.
So about two months ago I made a mix. It was long, just shy of 3.5 hours, and before I posted it, I kinda felt it was better suited as a series of mixes. I asked the Internet if I should split it or keep it whole and they said to keep it as a single long mix. If it were a trance or techno mix, this would have likely been just fine, but 3.5 hours of pop music? Nah…
So about a month ago I broke up the mix into three segments.
Good Morning 666 easily becomes the mixes:
Good Morning 600 + Good Morning 060 + Good Morning 006
…and this is where the breakthrough happened, one I’ve not experienced in my own mixes before.
When they are listed alphabetically, the sequence of music is reversed. The final segment of the mix becomes the beginning and the beginning becomes the end. This is now my preferred sequencing.
First: The final segment is actually the most pure variation of the Good Morning series. It have some trance, some goa, some odds n ends; it parallels the original in mood, atmosphere, style, and length. Then, you get two bonus disks of pop and industrial music to listen to. Some Grebo and britpop. Some country and folk. It also breaks out into easier to digest chunks. People rarely have time to listen to a 3.5 hour mix, so cutting it up this way allows for a person to more easily choose whether they want to start off with an atmospheric William Orbit remix or an acid remix of some classic grebo britpop.
In the end:
Every minute of the future
Is a memory of the past
So grab the trio of mixes and listen however you wish. I recommend 006 -> 060 -> 600… but most importantly, Have a Good Morning! 🙂
