So this here is my first ever mixed CD. After four solid years of rocking the audio cassettes, I finally started getting into digital media and making mixed CDs. Recorded to DAT and then transferred to a hard drive for mastering by Wink @ Sound-O-Mat Studios, I made this mix after returning home from the one time I went to Burning Man. When we printed these disks, I wanted to keep the aesthetic of the mixed tape as intact as possible, so I placed the track indexes at every 6:04:99. This prevented you from skipping around from track to track on the mix as well as displayed each song as 6:04 on your CD player. Unfortunately, I cannot include that gimmick on this digital copy of the mix, but I can include the other part of the packaging…
So enjoy the mix (except for that rubbish mix into ECT, which I totally tanked)! As you can see from the track listing, my taste hasn’t changed too much…
