When I was about 10 years old, I was at a friend’s house and he played me a tape. It was a Self Hypnotic tape about creative thinking and meditation. I dubbed a copy and have kept it with me ever since. As years past me by, I always wanted to transfer that tape to something digital but never did. Late in 2011 I finally accomplished this task and began listening to it regularly again.
To ring in the 2012 New Year, ChickenHed hosted a mellow downtempo anti-party and I put together a set with this tape as the centerpiece. After the event was over, I thought that it would be nice to record a similar set for continued listening. This isn’t the exact set that I played that night, things needed to get shuffled around a bit for repeated listening enjoyment, but the energy is the same. So relax into the orange colored liquid and tap into the Universal Mind…
